Allen himself, who holds designations as CRB, GRI, RECS, was born and raised in Concord. He was in the banking industry prior to entering real estate, and his educational, professional and community credits read like a veritable "Who's Who."

He is past president of the Central Carolina Association of REALTORS (CCAR), past president of the North Carolina Certified Residential Brokerage Managers Council, past Dean of the REALTORS' Institute, and he received CCAR's REALTOR of the Year and Volunteer of the Year awards.

Allen is also active in the community in numerous fund-raising areas -- Boys and Girls Club of Cabarrus County, Boy Scouts, Relay for Life Cancer walks, Juvenile Diabetes, Concord Rotary, Cabarrus County Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Medical Center, and many more.
